The composition and scale evoke a grove of tree-like forms, blending industrial heritage with a natural, sculptural rhythm.
The sculptures were constructed primarily from recycled steel and repurposed components. Bright, playful colours were chosen to be visually inviting, especially for children, who may also engage with the kinetic elements in some of the pieces.
Previously located on the Jull Street side of the old Armadale Train Station, the works were temporarily removed as part of the METRONET Byford Rail Extension Project. They now take pride of place on the western side of the station, continuing their legacy as a vibrant and meaningful landmark that holds a special place in the hearts of the Armadale community.
